'We live in interesting times'
I am not sure how many times I have heard this line repeated this week, but nearly everyone I have spoken to have said it. Councillor Worrow's resignation this time last week has changed the dynamics of the Council by taking away the Conservatives one seat majority over Labour. Both sides now have 26 votes, but the Chairman of the Council is Labour Councillor Doug Clark who would have the casting vote if it was a tie. I am sure both Labour and the Conservatives are thinking through all sorts of scenarios with regards to the Independents, and also whether they can be sure that everyone from their groups will turn up. Just in case anyone is reading this - I will be attending and I know which way I will be voting!

It is indeed a busy week. It seems every day a new revelation comes forward. Tip of the iceberg perhaps.
